Master Guide - Joe St. John
Born and raised in the heart of Wine Country, Master Guide Joe St. John moved to Nevada with his wife in 2007 and eagerly explored the diverse outdoor recreational opportunities for hunting and fishing that Nevada offers. Growing up, Joe's family was deeply involved in outdoor activities, whether it was hunting, fishing, hiking, or camping. As a young man, there was never any doubt where his heart was; it was in the clouds, in the mountains, and in the high country. At High Country Outfitters, we are committed to sharing the same passion for outdoor life that our families instilled in us. Joe now resides in Northern Nevada with his wife Ashley and their two sons. Together, Joe and Ashley are dedicated to raising their boys outdoors, engaging in camping, hunting, fishing, hiking, and baseball, ensuring that the family traditions of outdoor life and Nevada hunting are passed on to the next generation of outdoorsmen.
Ashton Andrews
Ashton is a seasoned outdoorsman whose passion for nature runs deep. Residing in Reno, Nevada, with his wife and dog, Ashton dedicates his life to his love for the wild and often collaborates with high country outfitters to enhance his adventures.
With decades of experience in rod and rifle, including waterfowl hunting guided by expert hunting guides, Ashton has developed a profound connection with nature. As a dedicated bow hunter and fly fisherman, he practices and perfects techniques that embody the patience and precision at the heart of his pursuits.
His passion doesn’t end with hunting season. Whether he’s scouting deer across the Sierras with his wife and dog on a weekend outing, or trout fishing in Iceland amidst rugged landscapes and roaming sheep, Ashton approaches every adventure with a spirit of curiosity and gratitude.

Codey Beattie
Born and raised in Nevada, Codey has spent the majority of his life exploring the landscapes of the Silver State in pursuit of wild game. He started hunting at the age of 13 with family friends, and that year he bagged his first rifle muley buck, which hooked him on the outdoors. Since then, Codey has pursued numerous species of game across multiple states, including Oregon, Idaho, and California, using various methods such as bow, rifle, muzzleloader, and shotgun. At 17, he discovered his true passion for the outdoors when he began working with dogs to hunt upland game. Since then, he has dedicated every season to chasing the notorious devil bird known as chukar. As a devout upland gamer, Codey has extensive knowledge and skills, making him a valuable asset for high country outfitters and hunting guides, especially in the realm of Nevada hunting.
